Description
The Annual Street Maintenance Project will perform crack sealing at various locations throughout the City. Crack sealing asphalt pavement cracks is a common preventive maintenance treatment. Pavement cracks can extend longitudinally and transversely across the roadway. They are caused by thermal stress and/or traffic loading. Sealing cracks is a key element in early intervention as it slows the deterioration process of the pavement and can significantly add 2 to 8 years of life.
