The Campbell Recreation Pre-School will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to COVID-19. For more information, please view the COVID-19 Pre-School Newsletter.

Campbell Recreation Pre-School provides a safe and nurturing environment for your child's first school experience. Each classroom is designed to maximize a child's learning experience.

To engage active and growing minds and bodies, we introduce as many different materials and hands-on learning opportunities as possible such as art, music, a movement lab, and language, reading, and math readiness activities. Oral language and listening skills are developed through circle time activities. Social skills are developed during both structured activities and unstructured free choice play time.

Our pre-school has provided children with their first school experience for over 20 years. We believe a child's first school experience sets the foundation for a love of learning.

  • Kinder Kids - Ages 4-5: Children will develop social interaction skills through creative learning experiences, language development, pre-reading, science, math, art games, music, motor skill activities, drama, and free play. These activities will prepare children for kindergarten. Classes are two and one half hours long, and meet two or three times a week. Children must be 4 years old by December 31*.
  • Super Kinders - Ages 4-5: This hybrid program allows 4-year-old children the opportunity to participate in school four days a week. The class focuses on language development, motor skills, science, math, and art in a center-based learning environment. Children must be 4 years old by June 1.
  • Kindergarten Prep - Ages 4.5-5.5: In Kindergarten Prep, children will enjoy a small class environment with plenty of individualized attention. Class activities will develop and build the skills needed to help prepare your child for a successful kindergarten experience. Classes are three hours long and meet five days a week. *The age cut-off for Tiny Tots and Kinder Kids has been extended to 12/31. Elementary school kindergarten cut-offs are 5 year of age by September 1, so children in this window may need to attend an additional year of pre-school.
