Museum Field Trips are open for reservations

The Campbell Historical Museum & Ainsley House are available for school field trips.  Both programs are designed to complement study units for 2nd and 3rd grade. 
The Campbell Historical Museum offers a HANDS on HISTORY program invites students to engage in experiential learning as they rotate through four different exhibit stations that will teach them about life 100 years ago and how times have changed.
The Ainsley House, History Detectives brings students on an interactive mystery tour through the Ainsley  House as well as allows them to explore different hands on museum activities inside the Carriage House.
Each field trip:
* Runs from 9am -12pm
* Requires a minimum of 4 chaperones (the chaperones engage and lead activities on each field trip)
* Admission is $6/ student (minimum of $120 for 20 students or fewer). Teachers and chaperones are free.

The Campbell Historical Museum is located in the City’s first public building, Firehouse #1. Visitors can explore the City’s rich history through self-guided tours. Changing exhibits use themes of Home Life, Community, Recreation, and Work to provide insight into daily life in the Santa Clara Valley over the past century. Engaging, hands-on features in each exhibit area encourage personal interaction with historical objects in order to better understand life in the region today.

Ainsley House tour policies:

  • Please do not touch or sit on any object
  • Please stay with your docent
  • If you have a large purse or back pack, please carry it down by your side or in front of you to avoid knocking any of the artifacts.
  • There is a staircase to reach the 2nd floor, no elevator
  • Tours can last 30-45 minutes.
