State of the City

2026 State of the City
At the State of the City on Wednesday, October 16, 2026, the Mayor reflected on Campbell’s rich history, strong community values, and the work underway to prepare our city for the future.
From its roots in the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” and its agricultural heritage to the vibrant small-town community we know today, Campbell continues to be shaped by hard work, innovation, cooperation, and service to others.
The Mayor highlighted progress across the City’s key priorities, including housing and land-use planning, infrastructure, financial stability, sustainability, and community health and safety. Major accomplishments include the completion of the renovated Campbell Library and new Police Operations Building, investments in technology and public infrastructure, expanded housing and homelessness programs, environmental planning, public safety initiatives, and new efforts to support Campbell’s local businesses.
The City is also investing in community life through parks and recreation, hundreds of programs and events, the newly renovated Skatepark, planning for the replacement of the Community Center pool, and continued support for youth and community organizations.
While Campbell faces challenges—including rising costs, economic uncertainty, and changing state and federal policies—the Mayor emphasized the City’s commitment to maintaining essential services, using resources responsibly, and working collaboratively with residents, businesses, schools, regional partners, boards and commissions, and community organizations.
Campbell’s future depends on the same spirit that helped build our community: neighbors working together, embracing innovation, and serving one another.
