District-Based Elections

The City of Campbell now has a district-based election process for its Council Members. The original process of creating district boundaries was completed in July 2019. Please visit the 2019 Transition to District-Based Elections page for information on the original districting process. Council Districts 1 and 2 were on the ballot on November 3, 2020.

Cities with district-based elections are required to update (redistrict) the boundary lines every ten years, following the receipt of updated population data from each federal decennial census. You can find detailed census results for the City of Campbell at www.census.gov

The first redistricting process for the City of Campbell was completed on March 15, 2022. Please visit the 2021-2022 Redistricting page for more information. Council Districts 3, 4, and 5 will be on the ballot on November 8, 2022.

Elections Code Section 21628(g) requires these districting webpages to be maintained for 10 years after the adoption of council district boundaries.
